Default Limited Budget Upgrade for WRX Wagon

Ive Just purchased a 2003 Blobeye WRX Wagon... the standard headunit/speakers can only be described as dreadful!

They seem muffled and make a unfortunate farting noise at even moderate sound levels.

Even though Im not big into my ICE, I really enjoy listening to music in my cars and expect it to be clear and be able to perform loud enough for my cloth ears to hear.

I basically looking for upgrade items that will give me a "decent" system for as little as possible!

So far after having a browse through the forums I think I could get away with:

1) New front component speaker with standard rears
2) New double din head unit, as standard is regarded as junk ?
3) Sak 2820 Speaker fitting kit

Im hoping someone can advise on some budget components that would not be to deep and be easy fittment.

Reccomend a decent head unit to drive the components, I was thinking of the Pioneer FH-P808BT ? Or as single din better value ?

Also is Dynomat really necessary, considering I just want a budget setup, as it looks a chore to fit but it seems popular around here!

Upgrade the H/U first, speakers are rubbish but sound 100% better with a 4x50 HU.
