Did you disturb any other cables whilst fitting your stereo??, it sounds like you have either unplugged a harness/connector somewhere by pulling at the cables or you have shorted something out somewhere resulting in a blown fuse, double check the fuses in the fuse box under the dash behind the little pullout pocket just below the right hand side of the steering wheel.

Check fuse Numbers 6, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 37 or just check them all, also there is a relay in this fuse box that switches the side lights, this should click when head lights are on, and remember that scoob's lights don't work until the ignition is turned to the second position or when the engine is running.

Does you dip/main beam work OK?? Parking lights OK??

Sorry for the late reply.

The side light/illumination relay is situated above the fuse box inside the car, it is the middle one of 3 relays.

I'd presume that the UK relay is the same as the other relay you mention, they are all a standard fit.

You can get a new relay from Subaru parts if your struggling, contact your nearest dealer, I don't know how much it would be though.
