Did you disturb any other cables whilst fitting your stereo??, it sounds like you have either unplugged a harness/connector somewhere by pulling at the cables or you have shorted something out somewhere resulting in a blown fuse, double check the fuses in the fuse box under the dash behind the little pullout pocket just below the right hand side of the steering wheel.
Check fuse Numbers 6, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 37 or just check them all, also there is a relay in this fuse box that switches the side lights, this should click when head lights are on, and remember that scoob's lights don't work until the ignition is turned to the second position or when the engine is running.
Does you dip/main beam work OK?? Parking lights OK??

yes main headlights and headlights and indicater all work
only side lights parking lights an rear lights ddash lights dont work
checked an double checked fuse even changed all of them still no joy
will try relay next were is that situated
