spec D smartnav
Hi does anybody know how to remove the smartnav screen from the STI spec D, I would like to remove it but want to be able to reinstall it when I sell the car, any help would be appreciated.
Take the heater control trim off (pull away) then the doubla air blower panel above with the Smartnav screen - this is easier said than done as the screen hides a screw location to do this 
You're left with a grommet hole along the edge and a 10mm hole on the panel through which the screen is screwed onto a kind of plastic nut.

Oh - that reminds me 
On the back of the unit is a small cover, held in place with a screw through which the cable fits.
take the cover off and there is a small connector to pull off.
Screen then comes away without a cable.
