kenwood ddx 6029 wil not save settings

Default kenwood ddx 6029 wil not save settings

is there something i can do cos this is doing my head in every time i turn my car on i have to enter my code then go through and set all my equalizer settings and save my radio stations then when i turn my car off it wipes them all realy getting on my nerves any help would be great thanks oh yea my car is a 99 sti ra

Sure you have checked, but is your pernmanent live OK?

ive got the next model up the 7029 and i find that the only time mine loses settings is when the battery goes very low not sure if that helps

make sure the yellow wire has a perm live running to it!

that will fix it.

sounds like you have your permenant live and switched live switched. Or i dont know if this is the case with kennys but with jvc headunits and a few others there is a fuse in the rear of the head unit where the iso connector attaches, some can be placed in two positions switch its position.

definatly sounds like a live and permanenent live issue. had this with my sony. had to swop the permanenent live and ignition live over and problem solved
