Why blank it off, use a motorworld tray and use the space instead of wasting it

Autoleads at Halfrauds will have the adaptor loom and the blanking pocket. If you want an even better look go for the forester pocket as shown in my profile. I've probably got a pocket kicking around somewhere from when I switched to the subaru part

Can't go wrong with an Alpine unit IMHO . Forester pocket also fitted (scoobyparts sell these). Here's mine.

Has anyone purchased the above? It looks quite good but does it come with any holding device or does the Ipod roll about in the drawer / pocket?

I have the alpine CDA-9886R if I remember correctly off the top of my head.
I have the Ipod link too and the guy who fitted it drilled a tiny hole from the inside leading into the glove compartment (completely hidden) and the Ipod stays in there.
Its all contolled via the headunit.

Im happy with that as I have the extra space under the headunit for CD's etc...

I personally dont like the single din with the blanking plate it looks a bit messy. Go for a double din unit

cant reccomend one personally cause i have still got the standard unit but i think it still has to look good when installed.Halfords have some really nice double din units but they are a bit pricey and ebay may be the place to look as long as you go for a kenwood/Alpine/Sony etc..try and avoid the non branded stuff.I have read plenty of recommendations on here and just google them to find the best price..good luck

Went to a single din in mine initially but just managed to pull a deal at Halfords to get Pioneer Avic f900bt for 400 quid.

Price match to 680, 10 percent discount through voucher deal at work 600, free ipod touch when you buy the headunit, sold for 150, old headunit sold for 50.... = 400 installing this weekend
