Blue tooth stereo.
I have fitted a Sony MEXBT5100 to the scooby. Whilst I am more then happy with the stereo and the quality of the handsfree phone link I wondered if there was a extendable mic I could purchase to wire it in making it clearer for people to hear on the other end. I know most handsfree kits have them just wondered if this was an option with a stereo??

Nope, I have the same one and was told when I bout it that it had a mic that could be positioned in the car. was well cheesed off when I fitted it to find it in the head unit itself with no aux in for another mic. It's OK but I find I was shouting at the headunit alot and that it was pants when you were giving it some beans. I use some motorola bluetooth headphone for calling on the move instead now, £15 off Ebay and they are awesome for the gym too!
My Bugeye is standard so anyone with a fruity zorst would struggle with this unit.
Plus points are that you can stream music to it from your phone or ipod if you have the bluetooth adaptor for it.

I just bought an Alpine X300 this is similar price to sony one but has no cd drive (which don't bother me) but it does have a seperate mic so hopefully should work fine when making phone calls

Well I fitted my Alpine X300 today and after a little bit of trouble getting my phone to pair with it all is fine now (needed to change some bluetooth settings on my phone), tested a few calls and all working ok, Just need to figure out how all the functions work now, think I need to read the instructions
