Sub and amp recomendation
Hi am just in the process of upgrading my Bugeye sti to components in the front with uprated headunit . From reading the posts on here it seems that upgrading the rears isnt worth it and that just go for the sub/ subs in the rear.
my question is What would be a good combination of sub and amp to go for with limited budget . should i go for 2 x 12 or single ?
any help welcomed

Depends on your musical taste.
Subs come in two categories being Loud and Musical.
You can pick up a cheap sub to thump, but will only thump at one (or very few) frequencies. I went down this route originally but got bored of it very very quickly.
Better to spend a bit more and get one that isn't as loud, but able to play more notes.
Enclosures also come in two options too being ported and sealed. Ported enclosures again thump really loudly at one note, whereas sealed ones are quieter, but provide more of a range.
Again, this is all down to personal choice.
I've got a JL 12" sub in a sealed box and an alpine monoblock amp which does the job for under £500.
If this is a bit pricey, people like bass-junkies do deals for sub, box and amps. Kenwood are also uber cheap and sound pretty good. I've used justkenwood in the past.
If you just want a bit of punch, a 10" sub will do the job, if it's really low bass, you're better off with a 12".
Hope this helps mate.
