Improving standard MY01

Assistance requested please.
I have a VDO Dayton 3200 CD tuner with standard speakers. I guess the VDO bungs out about 10-15 real watts per ch.
Sound quality is cack and I suspect the Subaru supplied speakers.
What can I fit with no mods? The Infinity 605cs is recommended for the older cars but will they fit Bugzilla (the tweeter looks too big for the 'ole)? Will the VDO run them at adequate levels without an additional amp?
Finally, is the wiring for a CD changer already in place, and if so, where is it?
