system setup advice

okay i've got a rockford 4.6 amp, a 10 in sub in a box, a pair of jbl 6.0 comp. speakers and a pioneer 6000r head.
question is would it be best to run the tweeters from the head unit (all kinds of on board crossovers built in) with the woofers and the sub on the amp or run it all off the amp.
if the former can anyone suggest crossover values for the tweets mids and sub.
can anyone enlighten me as to what the use of foam in the build is as i've got loads of 1 inch thick foam pieces i'm gonna chuck out otherwise.
cheers richie

Sorry forgot to say try LPF range 60-90Hz - I run around 80Hz. The higher you run it the harder you will be able to drive your mids. Certainly running my mids at 90Hz I can perceive the location of the sub and they go very loud indeed - I don't know what is the limiting factor - the amp is rated at 150WRMS bridged at 14.4V and the speakers certainly appreciate this config rather than 50WRMS. (They are rated 90W Infinity 605CS). Others have said with 150W that these speakers cone excursion reaches its limits. Mine seem to if I put the HPF at 50-70Hz - 80Hz is the best compromise for me. Haven't had the kit to scope it to see if it the amp or the speakers that limit things. Overall, 80 Hz is quite good as it is still loud enough, but the source of the bass cannot be perceived. Was delighted when someone sat in my car and thought all the bass was coming from the front doors or under the seats or something.
