Default Kenwood dnx5220 bt

Has anybody any idea how to make the microphone on the bluetooth louder? I installed this unit today and everyone i call is struggling to hear my voice, i have put the mic next to the parking light switch on top of steering wheel - so it couldn't be any nearer to my mouth, especially as I have short legs lol.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

It would be better higher up TBH... I've seen them installed up the very top of the A Pillar or up near the sun visor. Your voice will carry up more certainly when your looking ahead whilst driving.

Having a 5220BT fitted on Friday and will see where they put the mic in that, but I shall be suggesting where I've had a Becker mic fitted before, top of the A Pillar

I too have this unit. The installer fitted the mic up high at the top of the trim on the A pillar, just to the side of the sun visor.

The sound works fine and everyone seems to be able to hear me when using the bluetooth on calls.
