can anyone tell me what tools are required to remove the stereo in an 06 sti?

 

Trim tool and philips screwdriver.

 

In my07 wrx All I had to do was pull the trim, the bit behind the gear stick towards me and then remove the screws that shoe, removing rest of trim the removing the 6? screws from the stereo.
Only needed a philips head screwdriver
