Default what size are classic import rear speakers

hi all this no doubt has been asked before i have looked but cant find a thread

i have a 95 wrx import saloon with 6x9s flopping around in the back they obviously dont fit and i would like to buy a pair that go straight in

what size is required for the rear parcel shelf speakers?

I had a set of 5 x 8's in mine. Fitted straight on. There is a plate you can remove to make the round hole oval...

i think its off but they dont fit properly so any bass and they kinda bounce around will get a set f 5x8 for it and hope they fit

Alternatively cut a set of spacers and put them inbetween the speaker and the shelf.

Cheaper than buying another set of speakers and it'll sound a bit better.
