You got the seat fitted without shorting the amp or blowing yourself up then? I forgot to suggest that you really, really ought to protect all the terminals with something!!!
You've got my black insulation tape still, you cad!
The amp, for that money, cannot be highly enough recommended!

Doh! Do you mean I need the seat out again then? Any suggestions for 'something', they sell a cover, but I guess it won't be cheap!
Sent you email re tape!

Tape a flap of cardboard or plastic over them. Just to stop something/anything bad from happening... You're fused, so nothing critical should happen, but it's always best to provide short circuit protection on the speaker outputs, and some protection to the power and remote terminals.
Train? Pah, poncy poseur with yer mobile net connection thingy!

Well 2 months ago I was an ICE novice, have since done things in stages, Infinity 605CS front speakers made a difference, as did replacing head unit.
However this weekend Chiark and I put an amp in, Philips 6040 for £139.99. All I can is WOW! The difference is stunning, much cleaner sound, hearing things on my CDs I've never heard before!!
So if anyone wasn't sure about the benefits of an amp, I was very sceptical, but am now convinced!!
cheers,
greg

ROFLMAO!Good work Nick!Gregh, listen to Nick, you need to join us on the dark side.
Glad to see I'm not the only one into "mad" systems
Actually Gregh, before you email Nick's black tape back to him,you could put 2 or 3 wrappes around the amps terminals to protect them.It works.

Greg, really pleased you impressed with yer philips dap amp, I love the sound of mine with infinity 655cs but you really wanna get a sub as the boys say. Mine is driving a 10" db raptor(in small box)(I tried loads of cheap subs before (jbl etc.., but none came even close to this one) and drops lovely. I know you like your space in your boot but I've got mine strapped in so you can take it out if you really want. but you wont want to when you've heard it.(you can get db raptor 10 from same place you got yer amp for less than £100) You can have a listen at mine first if you interested...
"traxx" looks really tempting.
