Hi

Does anyone know what size the front and rear speakers are in a my01?

Nope - but you can get 6" in no problem, 6.5 if you use a mdf spacer.

If it is like MY00 you can get some 6.5" in without using spacers. Kenwood PSR70P(*), Infinity 605CS(*), at least some Infinity Kappas(*), Kenwood HQ167DB, JBL GT6.0c to name a few. [*=strongly recommended] The usual problem is with mounting depth - certainly 64mm goes in easy, 72mm has been achieved with spacers. Look on the appropriate manufacturer websites and brochure technical sections. Some need a minimum of trimming of the plastic splash guard that is part of the factory spacer. Worth considering that the cone area on 6.5" can be substantially larger (over 17%) than 6" depending on the design of surround and this can help low freq. extension considerably - which is even more important if you are not running a sub, and quite useful even with if you are cutting the sub off at 80 Hz or even lower you need good hard hitting fronts down to at least that level.
