Does anyone know if these are compatible with the UK radio frequencies?

No, they have a different FM step e.g. .2 .4 .6 .8 1 whereas Europe & Japan have .05 .1 .15 .2 .25 .3 etc. so there will be some stations you can't get.

I have a US one in mine and to be honest dont waste your time, no RDS or station naming and as Garycat says you cant get all stations either
