alpine tv frequency ??

Question

Hi i have a alpine tv system in my car and the set is Jap spec how do i get it converted to our freqency, or does a normal freqency expander do the trick,there is four ariels inside stuck to the glass i presume this is for the tv part of it as i get just a fuzzy screen,anyone got any idea's

ring audio images in bradford 01274 733 633.

Nearly all tvs are produced for the gloabal market, so there should be a facility to swict to the european PAL settings from the Japanese SECAM settings. It will also cause the inbuilt tuner to automatically scan the correct frequencies.

The aerial is a four way diversity aerial. The alpine unit is very good. Don't expect the signal to be much good on the move though.

You might also want to put the aerial in the roof lining, it will be much neater, and les attractive to thieves.
