Question Removing radio, problem

Hi All,

My Bro-In-Law has a bug eye Impreza, he wants to change the stock head unit for a decent H/U which he already has, the problem is that the last owner had the silver plastic trims replaced with a walnut effect and there is no obvious way for the radio to be removed,no removal tool holes ETC, it is NOT the double din type and has the storage tray below the radio. Do you slide removal tools down the sides of the radio?? if so there is very little gap to slide them down and no removable plastic trim around the radio to remove for removal tool access, for obvious reasons I don't want damage anything as the car is like new.

Thanks for any help/advice given.

Cheers for that, Major.

I though that maybe the trim would have to be removed but he's really fussy about me removing it (Ive stripped my scoob down to fit my ICE MY00 classic), he can always go down to our local ICE dealer and get them to fit it for £50, I'm doing it FREE.
