I think mine was made by Blue Peter's sticky back sellotape rejected ideas team.

Can you get a Minidisc changer for it? I'm about to upgrade from MY99 to MY02. I changed the stereo in the MY99 coz it was so pants for a minidisc player, but the MY02 doesn't sound so bad and also think my Sony Minidisc would look a bit silly in that huge hole.

You can get a single DIN converter. Genuine Subaru part I think.
So your Mini disc could still be used in MY02

All the best

Dave,

ive fitted a sony single din minidisc player in a MY01 and looks much better than the std headunit when fitted with the subaru dash cubbyhole thing and it was only £15 and fits perfectly.

Ive got the part number somewhere if you need it.

I couldnt find a minidisc changer for the std kenwood head as i belive they have stopped make one.

Cool

Bob,

The cubbyhole thing is a Subaru part No. 66128AE000 Pocket Centre. Cost £15.22 inc vat from my local dealers.

To fit it you remove the original 2din unit and remove the brackets from the side of the stereo. Fit the single din unit to the upper part of the brackets with the original screws and then fit the cubbyhole thing under with the original scerws and then refit the whole thing. Fits perfect and looks good.

If you need further info email me
