Advice needed.
I am going to installing a new
Head unit
component speakers ( front )
Upgraded rear speakers
4 channel amp
Sub ( in the boot )
I am going to bridge two of the channels of the amp to run the sub but what i would like to know is, am i better running the front component speakers of the head unit and and the rear speakers of the amp or vice versa?
Cheers for any replys.

Personally, I'd always amp the front components as:
1) Components are often designed to run off an amp anyway and wont sound good with the power a normal head unit can muster
2) They're the ones closest to you. Having loud rear speakers will drag the sound stage backwards and that (IMO) does not sound good.
Personally, I'd ditch the rear speakers all together. I'm running front components + sub only and it sounds better than when i had rear speakers. Some people like rear fill, and in that case you could run the rear speakers off the head unit.
All in my opinion

I've just upgraded my setup - I have a 4 channel amp (bridged) to power the front components, the head is powering the rears (can't really hear them anyway) and the sub (in the boot) has it's own in-built 200w amp.

Hi mate, this is what I've got...
Infinity Reference 6010cs components up front
Infinity Reference 475a 4x75w amp (bridged)
Infinity Basslink 10" active sub
(All new off eBay)
My head unit is a JVC KDSH99R - it's a few years old but mp3/iPod compatible so I didn't bother upgrading it.
