Hi
Infinity 6010cs's IMHO (£35-£60 depending on where you shop)- they have separate tweeters which make the install take a little longer but the sound is worth it. I reckon you'd need a sub with them. When I put my kit in I ran these intially without the sub and they don't drive that much bass, especially when the car is cranking the exhaust note. I thik this will be the same for most speakers though. I used an Alpine SWD1600 sub (£120 or under) under the passenger seat which is primo if you just want to pump up standard speakers and not bother with rattling shop windows etc. Does restrict forward seat motion a bit, but if needed you can just unplug the main wiring harness and remove it as it sits so tight under the seat it doesn't need any fixings into the floor. Pioneer do a similar version. All the info you need for fitting is on this forum, then its the fun of hunting for the right price.
I put speakers in the rear doors as well (infinity 5.25" 52.7i), and despite rumours to the contrary I think they do add somehting to the sound stage.
