Stereo upgrade suggestions
Hi
I have an STI hawkeye, and I would like to upgrade the stereo, as the standard one is truly awful, dont want to spend to much money as I dont need a competition unit or anything, just something cheap and cheerfull that will do the following:-
1. Bluetooth to my mobile phone
2. connect to an I-Pod
Also I thought I might change front door speakers aswell, again not to anything that is going to rock the car and be very loud, just to have better sound quality than the standard. I dont want to AMP anything or go down the SUB route.
What speakers should I buy, and what will just bolt straight in? Should I replace the rears also?
Thank you all in advance

I want the same mate by mine is a 05 sti which is the same interior.
I have already changed the front speakers 7 fitted a nice pair of pioneer 6.5"
in there.
Door cards came off easy & removed originals.
you will need and is a must a pair of mdf spacers.
you will have to cut & trim to make them fit & then atttach the speakers to them.
good difference in sound if you still want that factory fit look,
like i do.
still need info on what maximums go in rear doors & what is a nice head unit.
cheers
