Hello,
I have been thinking of upgrading the stereo of my 07 WRX, the main reason being that the original one doesn't play mp3's.
The speakers would need upgrading too I guess to make the most of the headunit (I have been thinking of getting the Pioneer P88 RS)
Would it be worth fitting dynamat on the doors at the same time?
I have been quoted around 600 pounds for the following, including installation:

P88 RS
Focal (Hertz?) speakers (front)
Dynamat on doors

Is this a good price?
Would the speakers play well without having to install an amplifier?
I am concerned about the quality of the sound and don't need high power.
I am quite new to this so any advice to the novice welcome!

im in the same boat mate, i had a quote for £550, that was for focals & audison amp sound proofed and fitted, so dependind on the cost of your hu it seems a fair price to me mate.....

I'm too upgrading mine soon but was told to change the front speakers (was advised Rainbow ones were good).To leave the rear speakers but the fronts will indeed need an amp to get the best out of them.

A sub would also be beneficial but then you're starting to tot up the pennies i'm afraid as it'd need another amp.
