Default single din fitting

I've just bought a blobeye which has a single din unit whith pocket. The head unit looks as though it's sat too far out which looks poor but i've seen a replacement cubbyhole with door somewhere on this forum but i can't find it now.
The dash is a gunmetal colour

help

thanks

It's a forrester pocket mate

Some one should be able to tell you the part number.

Is the stereo bolted to the right place in the cage as there are a couple of mounting options. may just need to be moved back in the cage!!!!!

does the forester pocket just slot in?

the stereo i have in sits far out which i suppose is because it has a flip out screen (it's a cheap dvd player/ cd/ radio unit) - i guess if the unit is pushed in further the screen wouldn't be able to flip?

well decided to try to buy an origional double din unit

I have a flip out screen too and i'm sure you can adjust the screen to come out at different angles.

The pocket simply bolts to the cage under the stereo.

Whilst the cage is out, if you look on the sides of the headunit, there should be a couple of holes that have "8mm max" on them. These are the mounting holes for the unit and depending on which set are used, determines how far out the stereo sits.
You could always get handy with a drill on the cage plates and enlarge the holes or drill some new ones.
