Default Sound system for track car...

Okay guys,

Help required.

Primarily my car is used on track. However, with a quiet exhaust now on the car im thinking of uprating to get a decent sound in my 2002 STI (Nice for journeys to the ring).

I have a Kenwood DDX 6029 headunit (Only bought cos i got it for a great price) and also have a 4ch eclipse 4x 75W RMS amp if needed.

Only want to upgrade the front/rear door speakers.

Do i amp them with a 4ch eclipse amp under the seat?

Or just use the headunit?

What speakers should i buy for reasonable money? (ie less tha £150 all in)

Im running focal K2 components in my 05 spec C powered only by the headunit (kenwood ddx 7029) and to be honest even though they are a vast improvement over standard they really need to be powered by an amp i think with your budget you would get a nice set of infinity comps

Something like infinity 6510CS would be nice in the front, not sure about the rear i havent gone that far into my install yet but i believe they are 4" as standard but with spacers/adaptor plates tou can go 6.5" again

4" standard, or 5 1/4" at a push.

You're better off with an underseat sub than spending lots on rear speakers though.
