Ive put 6.5`s in the front with a spacer and 6 in rear of a Classic,
Dead easy to fit only 1 screw in each front door to remove trim,
Rears again straight in but I had to drill a couple of holes for fixings as im sure there was only 3 on the originals.

yea only 3 screw holes on speaker spacers in classics. I done mine 2 days ago.
Be careful with front speaker mounting depth, there very close to the glass. I hear theres an alpine speaker set that go straight in with no problems. If you go with a deeper speaker you will need mdf speaker spacer rings. On the rear speakers I found removing the rear seats {4 bolts} made it easier fitting, due to drilling new holes.
forgot to say I fitted sony xplodes 6.5's all round
