I have just replaced my front speakers in my 53 WRX, with some Kenwood jobbies, unfortunatley they are not components so my question is this. The exisiting speakers have the small tweeter (??) thing thats hardwired into the bigger door speakers. Do I leave them hardwired into my new speakers or cut them out altogether. Or do I run some new speaker wire directly from the headunit to the new speakers?

 

Cut them out and just use the existing cable to the new speakers.
