Any recommendations on what speakers to fit an 02 wrx?
Im completely clueless when it comes to ice

Don't want to spend too much, say max £200 for front and rears!

After more bass, but not looking to go down the bassbox route...

Get an under-seat active sub for about £120 and spend the rest on front components and dynamat.

Hi

Infinity 6010CS component speakers, under £50 and transformed my classic. Not sure on your car but went stright in my doors with only a little modification to the existing mounts (removing 3 plastic lugs,) then fitting the steel fixing ring supplied with the speakers to the plastic mount, then fixing the speaker to the steel mount - simple. Bascially the existing mount affixes to the door with 3 screws, but the speaker has 4, so the steel ring acts an an adaptor to fit them together.

I also put in a alpine SWD 1600 active sub - fits under the passenger seat and delivers a beautiful sound - doesn't shake the $hit out of you or your missus but adds a good sound stage and means you don't ned to deliver any bass to your door speakers, menaing longer life. Oh, check your dims as in my car the seat travel is now restricted , but it can be removed fairly easily.
