Default Ipod pioneer adaptor no sound

Hi guys. I recently bought a pioneer adaptor to allow me to connect my ipod to my headunit and control it by the headunit.

Thing is I get the pioneer logo appear on the ipod when its hooked up I can control the ipod via the headunit, but what i don't have is any sound?

The headunit works fine when playing CD's and listerning to the radio, and the same applys for the ipod that works fine too when not connected to the headunit.

So I can see that either one is faulty, I can only image there is a setting that needs to be changed. Anyone got any bright ideas.

Problem solved, I had connected a lead to the input as opposes to the output. All working fine now.
