Is Pioneer fh-p4100r compatible with USB devices

I have just brought my Subaru Impreza and the OE stereo is a Pioneer fh-p4100r. It does not play MP3 which is a pain so I was wondering if it was possible to connect it to the Pioneer CD-UB100 USB adapter with a hard drive attached.

Has anyone tried this or seen it work together?

Not sure about compatability but Pioneer isn't OE subaru equipment

I know this is a old thread but i have just been given a head unit the same as the one in the thread, is this an upgrade on the OE headunit, thanks Jay
