already read slap head's comments below, but "just down the road from me" (20mins)
didn't realise from my "reverse cam fitted" thread that you were local as well - not that that makes much difference - would love to see tissy's full install but just haven't had the time to ask him about it!

would love to have a good look at some point so i can be inspired!
Just going through this at the mo with a classic. It's a nightmare as everything is in the wrong place.
I have butchered my dash with a dremel and at first thought I had bitten off more than i could chew but I have made good progress.
On the classic its a single din apeture and the heater controls are at the top of the dash. I have moved the heater controls to the bottom and have got rid of the pointless "bright button" and the non functioning headlight leveling switch. With a bit of MDF and some body filler the new dash looks very well.
You may think its a little extreme but the car is going through quite a dramatic transfomation at the moment . The car will be around the 500bhp mark but will also have the interior stripped out and roll caged. In place of the rear seats there is going to be my ice install. Here are some pics of my progress so far.
Stripped out awating roll cage and dash flocking.

Dash facia butchered to relocate heater controls and house double din Kenwood 7200

Facia shaped and ready for paint.

Lower corner showing heater control location

Facia Painted black

Amps, subs, Capacitor, and wiring dummy installed for testing and wire routing purposes. This will all taken out prior to painting or covering. The amp on the right will also be painted white.

Let me know what you think.

daz - that looks like one hell of a project. would be very interested to see updates now and then. i don't have the technical know-how or mechanical know-how to tackle (and actually complete) anything like that, but have a reasonable idea of the amount of work and forethought that's probably involved.
a full boot ice install would be too much for me as it just wouldn't be practical, so this sort of thing is pure indulgence from my point of view - but good to see!
