Question

Hyah.

I was wondering about my stereo upgrade that is (on)going on my MY99. Apart from junking the standard head unit and replacing it with something a little nicer (nakamichi cd-45z) I have so far neglected the speakers, wiring and everything else. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas?

I have dynomated (extreme) all the doors, and it sounds loads better - next job is to dynomat the entire floorpan..

I have been thinking about some fronts to partner my head unit - been looking at the Infinity Perfect 6.1 components. Has anyone had any experiance with these speakers? Would it be worth up-grading the speaker wiring (still using the bog cables from head unit to the speakers)

I really fancy a sub + amp, but I hate the idea of having a boot full of amps and sub boxes!

Not heard that particular model, but it'll be a fairly bright pleasant sound if its like the other Infinity stuff.

I would upgrade the wiring, and, to be honest, I'd add an amp. I can't remember if that Nak unit has the external amp, but even still you'll notice a difference...

You could always mount an amp under the seats?

Nick.

I haven't heard the Nak 45 first hand but have heard nothing but good about it.But I have heard the Perfects and they are nice,if you like your highs.(I do )Aluminum dome.Very crisp to say the least, but they blend seamlessly with the 6.5.
Yes,you'll need an amp for them to really get out of them what they have to offer.
And if you want a sub,and have the money, get a Perfect 12" too. They only need 1 cubic foot sealed, which would fit the spair tire well. One 4 channel amp could run this system.
This is only an idea and only my opinion.
