Who's fitted TV screens in a MY01?

I'm looking to fit a TV screen where the original subaru unit goes, but I must have DVD!!
What do I go for & will it be alright after a track day, (providing I don't roll it).
What sort of speaker changes will I need & can I run a games console through it?
Not too much technical info as I'm technically illiterate!!!
Thanks

I've got the Panasonic DV2000 pack with a 7inch screen. Everything else in the car amps and speakers are Alpine but their example did not come close to Panasonics DV2000 pack. The screen has more pixels than any other so the picture watching DVD is the clearest compared to Alpine, Pioneer and Kenwood. The satellite navigation graphically looks the best and is most user friendly. It took me from North London to Cannes S.France door to door all on one DVD map disc without a problem. Did it in 7h 30mins in my P1.I have a Playstation 2 under the seat and an extra channel for eg. camera for rear bumper. You can also use a TV but its ****!! The screen is motorised and folds away and only till recently was the biggest. The screen controls Radio, CD, MD changers so it’s the complete system.
Hope that helps.
RRP for the screen, sat nav which comes combined with DVD £3000
I can get it for you for £2375 maybe less!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dave.

David,
I am sorry but you are wrong mate.
The resolution of any of the monitors for car audio is far in excess of what a dvd, laserdisc, broadcast tv, video etc can produce.
The formats do have sufficient bit rate to use the entire resloution capability of the screens. So that alone cannot define your system as having the best picture.
If you used a pc input then maybe, but I would hazard a guess that all the LCD moniotrs you refer to have higher than xga resolution anyway!

Adam I am thanking you for your comments.
What you say is entirely true that the resolution from the clearest of media Mpeg 2 (DVD) or the more widely viewed Mpeg 1 (VCD, video, TV) where quality is sacrificed for compression will be displayed at its best on the majority of screens which incorporate Liquid Crystal Display technologies. However, while searching for the best entire system where fortunately money wasn't an issue I noticeably could see great differences in picture quality between Alpine, Pioneer and the Kenwood displays. Even though I am conscious that Panasonic are not pioneers in their industry their example had impressed me the most and the picture while watching DVD was the clearest day and night. My decision was also influenced by the DV2000 combining DVD with Sat Nav DVD format which I think is the most convenient.
I have finally got those bits from Craig and I should be seeing Steve tomorrow. I will call towards the end of the week.
