fantastic price that - I would say that it will work okay if you hardwire it in.

iirc Halfrauds will fit for about £30.

ppprob - there is a cd changer socket on the back of the stereo in 2001 wrx (used to have one in mine - same car and model) and that's all I remember about it tbh.

Dunno if this helps in any way

Dave

the drive and play either fits into an audio line in (scooby radio hasnt got one) or through hardwired fm transmitter by piggybacking the aerial input. It does not use the CD changer port.

To get CD quality sound though you will need something like the Dension IceLink Plus kit which I have.

So in reality its only going to work with an fm thingy which will sound... average.

I'll just stick to saving for a new head unit with mp3 then.

Cheers for advice

it includes an fm transmitter so it is not dependant on getting a sep fm transmitter... it is hardwired so you dont get the interference of say an itrip but it isnt cd quality sound.

far better off with something like:

Dension ILKW1334 - only £99.99 inc VAT : Car Audio HiFi Multimedia Navigation Security

takes 5 mins to install too.... even i could/did do it

Thanks for the offer but I'm gonna hang on. I really fancy one of the double din kenwood screens but I'm concerned about the security aspect.
