Default Blanking Plate 05 WRX

Getting my standard head unit replaced with Alpine 9850Ri at the weekend. Place that are fitting it have said that you can get a blanking plate/drawer in the same colour as my silver dash from subaru so that it all looks factory fit.

Spoke to my local dealers who say they can only order a black blanking plate. Does anyone else know if you can get one that is the same colour as the dash as don't really want the new stereo standing out like a sore thumb?

Cheers,

Peter

  • A Single-DIN pocket to fill the empty space, either -
    • Part # 66128SA000 - with a silver flap, or
    • Part # 66128AE000 - a basic black pocket
Top part number looks like this

If I had a silver dash I would install one of these (UK Subaru part, but not cheap), they look very good installed:

Unfortunately my black S204 dash stops me...

The photo is not mine, but V5-STi's (a UK member on IWSTI - not sure if he is on Scoobynet). Apparently it is a part used by UK dealers to fit single DIN satnav, and costs around £70. No part number sorry.

For those with black S204 dash parts, he also sourced a black single din pocket that matches very well, with a full width flap. A US market Legacy part. You can see it on his thread here S204/SPEC-C RA/Momo - IWSTI.com
