Default Poor Radio Reception

Got one of those pillar mount aerials (standard I guess) on my 99 wagon. Reception has some interference - not bad, just annoying, along with the rattles from the doors (to be sorted!). Any ideas on improving things?

Had same radio in last car and it was fine. Done some searching but not found much - appears to be engine enhanced interference! Its a UK car too.

make sure its all earthed really well and there are no kinks in the aerial lead. Also try and make sure the aerial is away from any live cables
this should help a bit

OK Cheers> Anyone know what the connector is behind the radio? Its black with 2 wires coming from it. Just dangles there doing nothing!

Looks a bit like the white one on the FAQ pages!
