Default Poor reception on 06 WRX...

I have always suffered bad reception radio reception onmy 06 WRX, so decided to ditch the double din std unit and fit a Pioneer headunit instead. I was hoping this might help the rubbish reception but alas it has not improved one little bit.

So I am now thinking it must have something to do with the aeriel, but the 06WRX has no external one???

Does anyone know where it is located or can piont me towards some sort of signal booster...

Thanks

Guys I posted this in the FAQ well over a year ago. You need to connect the blue aerial wire in the loom to the electric aerial wire on your headunit.

Your radio antenna has an amplifier and this needs power. Your original headunit supplied this power but your new one needs to as well.

Cheers
