I'm looking at changing the speakers in the front doors of MY95 wagon, anybody got any recomendations for a good quality set not to expensive but good and the size please.

AFAIK, direct replacements are hard to come by as Subaru use an odd size

My '98 car has Sony "X-Plod" 3-way 16.5cm units, on home made spacers, made using the old speakers and the Sony template, out of mdf, well painted against damp.

Been in 4 years, I love them, and so far, only one prob: a wire fell off the n/s connector
