I have a 05 Impreza STI, had a look today to see how the speaker cover comes off, but no joy, didn't want to force it and snap it in two.
So do they come off on their own or does the whole door car have to come off?.

The main reason for asking is that the passenger one is vibrating on heavy bass tunes, so it may need some attention i.e. loose screws/un-stuck centre, or just a totally nackered speaker.

you take the full door card off v easy

in your door handle there is a plasic cover flip that up to reveal screw take that out under that there is another gold screw take that out.
clip out window switches then pull the door card from the bottom then it will come straight off (may need a fair pull) there is a plastic surround around the door handle trhat will fly off

ps change your front speakers to jbl or infinitys the standard ones are crap !

So its just this one gold screw to take out then the whole door card is held in place with just clips....ok, great thanks Ian .

Good choice of speakers (JBL/Infinity), all worth doing really I guess.
