USB Headunits - size limit?
Is there a size limit to the USB pen drives which you can plug into some Headunits?
If not, then what's to stop you using an external USB hard drive? Seems like a cheap way of having a lot of storage space...
Been looking at a Kenwood stereo on ebay for around £120, 40GB external hard drive for around £50...
Do the USB headunits display ID3 tags?

Yeah they do read the ID3 tags, not sure about the size. Good point with the HD.
I think its probably going to be down to the head unit in question.
Dont forget you might not get enough power from the USB interface on the HU to power the external HD though.

True, but if you can power an Ipod, then an external HD should be no problem!!
Anyways, I'm going to give it a go!!
