Is there any way of putting speakers with a 78mm mounting depth in the front of a 2004 WRX? I've made the spacers (35mm) but the door cards won't fit properly even with extended pins. Any ideas?

 

Either cover the tops of the magnets with sticky-backed foam stuff, use thinner spacers (24mm worked for me without door card issues) and live with the fact your windows will never go down all the way, or prepare to do a new door-card build...

Either that or get some thinner 'speakers?
