Default Has anyone tried these Kenwoods?

KFC-PS1700P

My understanding if I read the material right is that they will fit in the doors of a MY06.

I need to decide what to do in the rears as at present there are no speakers in the rear at all.

Suggestions are welcome - do I do door speakers or rear shelf mounted jobbies?

They look too big to me (160mm units will fit, probably with a spacer), and look very deep (no sure how deep; the link says both 62mm and 88mm neither of which will fit without woodwork).

Personally, in the rear I'd go for shelf mounted. In my 02, I tried upgrading the pokey little back speakers for some fairly decent pioneers, they just weren't big enough or with enogh room to "breathe" to do 'owt much. Putting an amped set of inifinity components in the back shelf gives good bass and nice fill for anyone in the back too.

P.S. I have the slightly older kenwood dual mags in the front of mine, with 12mm MDF space plates they fit nicely. Those ones look like they have slightly bigger rear magnets than the dual mags, so might be more of an issue.

Thanks for the responses guys.

The spec sheets I have show a depth of 62mm. Kenwood only do two sizes - 130 and 170 so maybe they are just too big. Other posts seem to indicate a 165 will fit.

Off to a decent audio store today - Halfrauds in York were really rubbish in trying to help me.
