Default Amp/Speaker rating

Quick question....are these compatible ?

Amp: Audio System Twister F2 130, 65Wx2@4ohm, 110Wx2@2ohm, RMS figures.

Speaker: Infinity Kappa 50.5 cs, 85W RMS, 255W peak, 4 ohm.

Amp is being used to power the front pair only.

Cheers
Allan

Should be no probs there mate, speakers can handle more than the amp can chuck at them.

Be careful though; just 'cos the amp is lower rated than the 'speakers you can still damage them - if you can hear it distorting it's too loud (obvious, but you'd be suprised).

The distortion can damage the tweeters.

Not to say the kit isn't suited though. The alternative is to get an amp bigger than the 'speakers power handling, which then carries the risk of blowing the woofers!

I guess I'm trying to say use your ears...
