Smile Sony KPNC9950HC1 DVD Navigation

Hiya,

Anyone got one of these. Its basically the Sony CDX NC9950 headunit with the Sony NVX HC1 navigation unit attached.

After an opinion on the sound quality when playing back music, and also the ease of use of the Navigation system.

Screen looks quite small, does it work ok for Nav or do you find yourself squinting to try to make out the next direction whilst narrowly avoiding hitting the cars stopping in front of you..

Thanks,
Scott

I'm thinking about getting this unit too as I want to replace the pants stock stereo & get a sat nav system - so this seems to provide what I'm after.

I think the screen may bit a little small, but I dont want yet another gadget stuck on my windscreen.

Haven't heard the system in action so would be interested in any comments.

Also what sort of price are these going for now?

Jonesy

Same here need to hear what its like and check how visible the screen is at the drivers distance away...

Car Audio Discount are selling the bundle, head unit + nav, for £750.

I would also go for the "Sony to Apple iPod car installation kit" for £100.

I have one in my own car. They sound fantastic and look even better. I havent used the nav but i dont see why this would let the system down.

Good to know the sound quality is spot on.

Not saying the screen will let the system down, just having had an iCN510 Nav unit with an average sized screen, the Sony screen and pics of the directions looks quite small.

Last thing you want is to be staring at the stereo to try and check directions whilst bombing down a road...
