Pioneer CD-IB100 iPod Adaptor - What else do i need
Hi. I want to connect my g4 ipod 20gb ipod to my Pioneer DEH-P5630MP head unit.
Now what else do i need for the ipod to work? Pioneer CD-IB100 iPod Adaptor is compatable with my HU.
Also i am going to need a dock for it to mount to the dash in my mk3 astra.
Thanks in advance.
Darren

i had this with my pioneer avic-x1
all you need is a pioneer unit with the suitable port (forgot what its called... ipbus i think it is).
you can then control the ipod ONLY through your headunit not your ipod. when you connect it, the ipod has pioneer wallpaper and thats it, you cannot control it via ipod.
you can use a dock but i just connected it and put the pod in the glovebox.
to re-itterate, the ib100 is basically an ipbus connection to your headunit and the other end plugs at the bottom of your ipod which plays the music through your headunit and also charges it.
