Nice job, looking at getting that HU this week, did you try fitting the Hu in the bottom and the pocket in the top. The idea being to free up the heater vents when the screen is opne. Or is it not an issue?
Thanks K.

Have you got a part number for the storage compartment below the H/U? Does it hold CD's? Also, does it fit easily or is there some modification needed? Sorry for all the questions.
Cheers.

Recently fitted one of these, along with the ipod adapter, dab tuner, and vehicle dynamics unit. Fits really well and there seems to be no problem with the air vents

Not that I've noticed so far (and it's been in a couple of months or so now)...
(Note the slight glare on the pics is from the camera flash )

Iain, where did you fit the hide away units for this system, i have got the pioneer avic-x1r which i am just in the process of installing. i was thinking of putting the unit under the centre console. also where did you put the gps aerial, i cant make up my mind wether the rear parcel shelf is a better option than the middle of the dash.

I put the ipod adapter in the front behind the heater controls etc. Fits nice and snugly in there, and is convienient for connecting the ipod.
The dab tuner and vehicle dynamics unit are in the boot. I ran the cables along the side of the car with no problems.
Finally, I fitted the dab aerial to the rear parcel shelf. Not sure why I bothered though. The dab broadcasts are naff around here (hopefully they'll add more transmitters soon).
And for your other questions....
The gauges and pod are Defi. Turbo pressure, oil temp and oil pressure. Useful for track days
And finally, the head unit is a AVH-P5700DVD (http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_...nomy_id=25-109).
I'm very pleased with it
