Also Homebase and Halfords sell a unit that goes on the dash board and tells you inside and outside temperature... for £15...
It is about 3 quatres of an inch by 3 inches and is battery operated and just one wire with sensor that you have to run to outside somewhere to get the temperature.. been looking into getting one but do I really need one? no not really... another gadget.

Halfords do two types.
One with the single wire for the extl sensor and push button backlight run off intl battery.
One with two wires - sensor plus lighter plug which runs backlight automatically - £15
Second option far preferable as can be read without searching for buttons and ice has more of a tendency to appear whilst dark.
