I've got the P7000R and love it.The only diff between the 7000 and 8000 is the remote control and the face plate. The 8000 has the electroluminescent display. It has an awesome display if that's what you like.
Otherwise,it's the same as mine and it's set up sweet. You can check out all the specs at the Pioneer site.
I can say that the sq is great and it NEVER skips. This unit was born to run a three way comp set.Low,mid and high tone controls...
You'll love it.

Yes it does. The xover points are the same as the high pass,50,80 or 125 hz with level control.
It also has low,mid and high loudness function instead of just "loudness off or on".The auto eq function's ok,but I usually leave it on custom and adjust as I please. The remote control is easy to use and memorize,as most functions you'll use all go through the "audio" button.
Oh yeah, the FIE feature[front imaging enhancer]is VERY nice on live recordings.Three xover points on this too.Low pass at 100,150 and 250hz.
The internal amp will kick too.I'm running two 5.25" Pioneer 2ways,20 watts rms each, for rear fill off of the HU.It keeps up 4 subs and 300 watts in the front.Very capable, mosfet.
I don't think you'll be disapointed Luke.
I've beat mine hard 4 wheelin' and it doesn't skip.
Keep us posted
Steve
