Some people recommend using two layers of standard dynamat instead of the extreme stuff.
I just used some normal dynamat in my front doors, however I'm not amp'ing the 'speakers up so it's not too critical.

Do you know much about deadmat, such as what it's made of etc? it says it's rubberised, rather than bitumen based...
Another option is Barrier mat from steve the sound man, available at a discount in the scooby shop IIRC...

i know that it's not as effective as Dynamat, we have had customers that have had it fitted and it doesn't seem to be half as effective as Extreme, i know i go on about it but it really is through experience of using this stuff that i have formulated my views. every time i get a car that i'm going to put a system into i put loads of the stuff in, but then i have quite an expensive system so its worth it. having thought about it a bit more though i think it could be that brown breadstuff thats made from a bitumen type of substance, all that does is add weight to your car!
