Default Hard Wire

Can anyone tell me how to connect (hard wire) a Road Angel from behind the stereo.

Thanks

Not done it myself, but it would seem sensible to get a 12V feed (and earth) from the back of the ciggy lighter. Ideally you'd have an in-line fuse in the cable to the road angel as close as possible to the ciggy lighter terminals. I'd guess it only needs to be 1 or 2 amps.

I've no idea where you'd then run the cable to, though.

I bought an extension cig lighter from maplin and wired this into the back of the existing cig lighter. Saves messing around cutting the road angel cable.
Its routed under the steering column and comes up at the side of the A Pillar

I have just hard wired my Road Angel if - if you are still looking for ideas

Just left of the center on the winscreen - there is some foam that bridges the gap from the dash - The power cable drops down there nicely to the back of the stereo unit. I used a spare ACC power cable from my new stereo but you could splice into the existing cable

Hope this helps
