Default jbl speaker problem

i put some jbl componants in the front doors of my scoob yesterday, but they sound like a bag of sh@t, i took the car back to motorworld and the guy said that for some reason the bass was coming through the tweeters, all the wiring was correct so he said there may be a prob with the crossover boxes, but he couldnt do anything cause it was half five , i mean talk about customer care, any way does any one know what could be wrong, any similar cases.

Its possible the crossover may be wired incorrectly internally, I had this in a BMW Z4 with the Harman Kardon upgrade. £800 for some speakers and they werent even built correctly! When the door card was off everything looked ok, but only resolved when bmw cracked open the crossover.
